These are tow plates, one that is 7 inches wide and another that is 9.5 inches wide. Overall the surface is the same but the edge of the plate flares up to be higher than the rest of the plate. Although the larger plate is slightly taller in the middle than at the edge. THe surface is completely smooth. The plates are glazed similar with shinny glazes of shadow green, blue and white. THe glazes overlap each other to make a light blue and dark blue where they connect. In the middle there is an empty space covered with clear. The form, texture and glaze together, use cool colors and the element of chiaroscuro to create simple plates with a balanced glaze.

This is a wheel altered project that is 4 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide. It is in the shape of a vase with a smaller base, a wider belly and gets smaller towards the top. I used my fingers to make a flower look on the top, almost in a wavy pattern. The surface is smooth but grainy at the top (due to running of glaze) and bumpy where the glaze ends (due to running of glaze). This vase is glazed in clear and has shadow green running down from the top to the bottom. At the top the glaze is a darker green/brown where the green ran down and becomes a forest/shadow green towards the middle. At the top, the running of the glaze creates a hair line affect. The form, texture and glaze work together to use balance to create a altered project that is pleasing to the eye.

This is wide project that is 3 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. It has a smaller base and fans out as it gets taller. It it fairly semetricle but has hsir-line crakes on the top of the bowl. The surface is smooth with small bumps do to the glaze that runs down the side. The bowl is dipped in a clear glaze with shadow green and dark blue dripping from the top of the bowl down to about the middle of the project. Inside the bowl there is light splatters of shadow green and blue. Some of the glaze went of thicker making it look as if there is more that just two colors. The form, texture and glaze work together to use the art elements of chiaroscuro and broken color to create a simple bowl.
